Benchmarks and Emotion

  1. It's good to see that you have done your benchmark thoroughly. You might want to take note on these:

Emotion benchmark - Will you have all of the listed benchmark in your application? If your application would only have one or two emotions, than you might want to concentrate on those only.

Gameplay - What exactly in the game play are you focusing on? Interface? Environment?

Environment - The images that you have found are from real life images. My question is, would your application environment have a realistic look? If it does than it is ok. Though you might want to have a few benchmark from other 3d applications such as from movies (Indiana Jones, 3000 BC) and games (Crysis, Call of Duty: Modern Warfar

Character - There are different genres of character benchmark that you have chosen. Diablo is more realistic compare to the rest, and the rest of the cartoonish benchmark are also different in their own right. Perhaps what you need to do is first to focus on whether should your character be realistic or simplistic. Than if its simplistic/cartoonish, the benchmark that you have is good. If its realistic, then you will need more of Diablo or other realistic kinda look.

Please take note on you layout - make sure the alignment of your images are the same, the size and all.

  2. The environment benchmark is a reference for me to do on my environment design. It would not be realistic but cartoonish style.

The game play is on the ideation of how the game is going to be played. Eg. First Person Game and Action Rpg game. (interface)

I will be doing on cartoonish style like the game of neopetpet adventure game.
